The issues of Panatag Shoal...one of the hot issue in the Intl news is about Panatag shoal. This is a big issue on Intl Maritime Law. The Philippines, the People's Republic of China, and the Republic of China (Taiwan) all claim Panatag Shoal. As a Filipino I'll be on Phil side but of course if I'm a Chinese I'll also depend the right of China. Hopefully, this issue will settle in a peaceful manner.

Hoping so... China is an emerging power in Asia and their claim was based on ancient records, they need to support their growing population and the Philippines in the legality should not relinquish its sovereignty....

ReplyDeleteMy opinion self, maybe its high time by now to pursue all legal claims not only with Asean members but to UN bodies concern, UNCLOS is also a reference point to consider, since our archepelago is involve, we have to use the legal sides of our sovereignity to achieve our liberty and legal right as claimant of our boundary. thanks
I think that's the only way Rod for the Filipino because we cant match the power of other countries. Also it is not good for everybody to settle it by force because kawawa nman yon mga tao.
